CompEx Approved Hazardous Area Electrical Contractor
In addition to being CompEx qualified to work in any industrial location, P.B. Ross also holds CompEx 1-4 and 7/8 qualifications to work in other hazardous areas, including petrol filling stations, LPG filling stations, fuel testing facilities, and aerosol manufacturers.
As the only CompEx qualified electrical installers in Leicestershire, we currently test, inspect, and maintain several petrol filling stations around Leicester, including the Leicestershire police and Braunstone service stations. Since all our work is done to the “blue book” standard, we have even been commissioned to test and inspect those for the local authority licence.
Much of our work is done in foundaries, where our electrical engineers commonly work with explosive dust, hazardous dust, dangerous fumes, tallow, and a variety of different environments involving temperatures of up to 700 degrees Celsius. Because electrical systems can be affected by many external factors, our team is trained on how to consider and protect the electrical areas that can harm them.
Similarly, our work with LPG filling stations maintains a high level of quality, and we have installed demountable skid units, tanks and pumps for stations around the Midlands.
We take safety very seriously and unlike many of our competitors, our electrical contracts are always carried out with CompEx standards in safety and engineering in mind. We’ll never cut corners on the security of your facility, so if something is not up to standard, we’ll condemn it and rebuild it.
